The useful Christmas guide is not a list of pretty things — it is a shipping calendar with a shortlist attached. Every piece on this site is handmade in Shenzhen and dispatched within two business days, then spends roughly 7–21 days in transit. That means the real question in December is not what to buy but when to order. Below: deadlines, four budgets, and the gifts most likely to be worn rather than stored.
The only dates that matter
| Order by | Destination | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| 20 November | US, Canada, UK, EU, Australia | Comfortable margin; arrives first half of December even with a customs delay |
| 1 December | Same | Last realistic date for delivery before 25 December |
| 5 December | Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, Korea | Shorter transit, more slack |
| After 5 December | Anywhere | Not guaranteed. Choose a desk piece or a gift card and say so honestly |
These are working margins, not promises. Customs in the EU and Canada is the usual cause of a late parcel, and tracking stops updating for days at a time during the December backlog. If a specific morning matters, order in November.
Four budgets, four honest shortlists
Under $25
A single-strand bracelet in red agate or tiger’s eye. This is the price band where the gift still feels considered: the stone has a meaning, the packaging is the same as everything else, and if the recipient already owns a lot of jewellery it slots in rather than competing. Amber Voyage and Tri-Tiger Ward both sit here.
$25–40
A two-stone bracelet, or a strand with a carved charm. This is the most common Christmas purchase because it looks like more than it costs — the second stone gives the eye something to do, and the charm makes it read as designed rather than assembled. Solar Scepter and Foxshade Bloom are in this band.
$40–60
A necklace, or a larger-stone bracelet. Necklaces photograph badly and wear beautifully, which makes them a better gift than they are a product page. Choose a pendant that sits at the collarbone; it works over a sweater in December and over a shirt in June. Moonchant Halo is the reference piece.
Under $20, non-jewellery
A crystal desk pet. It is the safest gift for a colleague, a Secret Santa, or anyone whose taste you do not know: no size, no colour preference, no style risk, and it stays on the desk where it is seen every day. See the Crystal Buddies guide.
What not to give at Christmas
- Rings. Sizing turns a gift into an errand, and an adjustable band reads as a compromise to anyone who knows jewellery.
- Anything you have to explain. If the gift needs a paragraph about the stone’s meaning to land, it will not land on Christmas morning.
- Sets you have not seen. Matched sets look generous in photos and mismatched in person when the dye lots differ. Buy one good piece.
- Late orders presented as “it’s coming”. A printed card saying what is coming, with a photo, is better than a promise that arrives in January.
Packaging and the card
Every order ships in a jewellery pouch inside a box, with the stone name and a one-line note on its traditional meaning. If you are sending directly to the recipient, put your message in the order notes and we will write it on the card — no prices, no invoice. If you are handing it over yourself, keep the box closed until the moment; the pouch inside is plain and the box does the work.
Questions people ask about Christmas orders
Can you guarantee delivery by 25 December?
No, and no honest handmade seller can. We can guarantee dispatch within two business days and provide tracking. The deadlines above are based on transit times we see in practice.
Do you offer gift wrapping?
Every order arrives gift-ready in a pouch and box. There is no separate wrapping charge and no Christmas-specific paper — the packaging is the same all year, which is why it does not look like a leftover.
What if the size is wrong?
Bracelets have adjustable cords covering roughly 15–19 cm and necklaces have extenders, so most sizing issues do not arise. Unworn pieces can be returned within seven days in original packaging.
Which stone is the safest choice?
Red agate for warmth, tiger’s eye for someone with a neutral wardrobe, clear quartz for someone with no stated preferences. Amethyst if you know they like purple — it is the most divisive colour in the catalogue.
The meanings described here are cultural associations, not medical claims. Crystal jewellery is worn as a reminder of an intention; it does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition.
